Wales Health Science Conference: Speaker Announcement | HEIW

With the upcoming Wales Health Science Conference approaching, here are some of the amazing speakers that will be sharing their insights and expertise during the 2-day event.

Professor Chris Hopkins will be chairing the first day of the conference. Chris is the new President-Elect of the Academy for Healthcare Science, a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Head of the TriTech Institute within Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Cath Mulligan, the Strategic Workforce Planner at HEIW will focus her session on ‘Exploring the Workforce Context’. Cath’s aim is to help colleagues across NHS Wales navigate the future of work and adopt a whole system approach.

Dr Sarah Bant’s presentation will detail and formally launch the new ‘NHS Wales Healthcare Science Career Framework’. Sarah is the Associate Director of Healthcare Science Workforce Transformation, at HEIW and an honorary Principal Clinical Scientist in Audiology, Betsi Cadwaldr University Health Board. Bant received the Academy for Healthcare Science Chair’s Award at their Honorary Fellowship Event in 2024.
