PSA Accredited Registration

The Professional Standards Authority (PSA) is an independent organisation, accountable to the UK Parliament.  The PSA help to protect the public by improving the regulation and registration of people who work in health and care.

Not everyone working in health and social care is regulated by law, which is why it is important that the public choose practitioners from a register that the PSA has accredited.   Being accredited demonstrates commitment to high standards and public protection, which increases public confidence.

We have been independently assessed by the PSA using  their Standards for Accredited Registers.  We have been awarded a ‘Quality Mark’ verifying that we meet all of these standards, demonstrating that we are committed to protecting the public and are working to good practice.

Our Accredited Registers

HEALTHCARE SCIENCE (HCS) PRACTITIONER REGISTER

The HCS Practitioner register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA) and consists of four parts; Healthcare Science Practitioners (incorporating Genetic Counsellors), Higher Specialist Scientists, Medical Illustrators, Clinical Physiologists and Clinical Exercise Physiologists.

LIFE SCIENCE INDUSTRY (LSI) CREDENTIALING REGISTER

The LSI National Credentialing Register is the first of its kind and sets national standards for professionals working in the life sciences industry.  Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), the Register provides a route to protect the public and assure the NHS that company representatives admitted to sensitive areas are properly trained.

CLINICAL RESEARCH PRACTITIONER (CRP) REGISTER

Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), CRPs can demonstrate to patients, colleagues and employers that they are competent, trustworthy and committed to achieving high standards of personal behaviour and technical competence.
