Wearables Survey for Healthcare Scientists

Wearables is one of the “big bets” in the 10 Year Health Plan, supporting wider use of wearables and connected devices to improve prevention, monitoring and care. The earliest commitment is to expand wearables across cardiovascular disease pathways by 2028, helping build the evidence and delivery models needed for wider adoption across other conditions and care pathways.

The wearables programme team previously worked with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to distribute a survey to clinicians, exploring how wearables are being used across cardiovascular care pathways.

We have designed this survey for healthcare scientists to undertake a broader system mapping of where wearables are being used. Please note:

  • Products in scope for this survey are ‘wearables and connected devices’- in this programme we define these as anything that can measure and send data on an individual to themselves or to a clinician. Point of care tests are not in scope.
    • This includes consumer wearables, medical device wearables, connected devices and in house/academic/industry partnership technology development
  • You should submit one response per wearable / connected device used. If you have experience using several devices, please resubmit a further response to this survey.

Please note that the survey is expected to close in the coming weeks.
