Data Protection
AHCS collects information about people with whom it deals to carry out its business and provide its services. Such people include applicants and registrants, employees (present, past and prospective), suppliers and other business contacts. The lawful and proper treatment of personal and sensitive information is extremely important to the success of our business and to maintain the confidence of our service users and employees. Information Management – Retention and Disposal of Data Policy
UK GDPR 2020 and the Data Protection Act 2018 specify that personal data shall be kept for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed. Personal data may be stored for longer periods where it processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes. The retention periods for all AHCS records are stated in the Information Management – Retention and Disposal of Data Policy. This includes applications for registrations, registrations, complaints, fitness to practice, HR and organisational documentation.
