The Team
John Stevens
FTP Lay Chair
John started his career in 1969, as a Junior Medical Laboratory Technician within the NHS and has since been employed in many roles: as a laboratory worker, research worker, laboratory manager, department manager and general manager. John was President of the IBMS 2009/10 and worked with the DH on Modernising Scientific Careers. John was Chair of the Academy from 2015 until April 2026 and now sits on Fitness to Practice panel investigations as Lay Chair on behalf of the AHCS.
