26/27 Physiological Sciences Programme Planning

The key priority of the National Diagnostic programme in NHS England is to facilitate the return to diagnostic constitutional standards, so that by 2028/29 no more than 1% of patients are waiting over 6 weeks for a diagnostic test. They will do this alongside supporting the diagnostic commitments in the 10 Year Health Plan and, the National cancer Plan.

To achieve this in Physiological Science services, the national Physiological Science programme has identified key pieces of work for 26/27. These are summarised in the slide below:
