New Technical Services Career Navigation Platform launches with national webinar
The new Technical Services Career Navigation Platform is now live. Developed through the NHS England Infusions and Special Medicines Programme, the platform brings together workforce resources co-designed over four years by multidisciplinary workforce working groups and colleagues from across the NHS. Users can explore standardised career pathways and job profiles, navigate an interactive competency explorer to understand the knowledge, skills and behaviours required across roles, and discover education and training opportunities to support their development.
To mark the launch, a national webinar will take place on Wednesday 22 July 2026 from 2-3pm via Microsoft Teams. The session will include an overview of the workforce workstream, a live demonstration of the platform, and a discussion of how it can support local workforce development. The webinar is open to anyone with an interest in the pharmacy technical services workforce, including healthcare scientists and science manufacturing technicians.
