STP Equivalence Applications Reopen on 14th September with Updated Applicant Guidance
The Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) is introducing an updated STP Equivalence Applicant Guidance Document, which will support the launch of a new digitalised application process.
To facilitate the transition, new STP Equivalence applications will be temporarily paused from 1 September 2026 and will reopen on 14th September 2026.
The refreshed guidance, which will apply to applications submitted from 14th September 2026, has been reviewed to improve accessibility, clarity and ease of navigation, helping applicants more easily understand the requirements of the STP Equivalence process while ensuring that the information remains comprehensive and user-friendly.
The document review coincides with the implementation of the STP Equivalence digitalisation process. Under the new process, applicants will now be required to pay the application fee at the start of their application journey. Once payment has been made, the completed application, including the portfolio, must be submitted within one month. The decision on when to submit within that period is therefore yours, and you should ensure that your portfolio template and supporting documentation are complete before doing so.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the updated guidance before beginning an application to familiarise themselves with the revised process and requirements.
