NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme 2027 Applications are open
Are you a Healthcare Scientist with an idea that could improve patient outcomes, diagnostics, technology or service delivery? Looking to develop new skills, grow your professional network and explore innovation alongside like-minded colleagues? The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP) could be the next step.
Applications for Cohort 11 of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme are open! The programme supports NHS staff to develop ideas, innovations and new ways of improving healthcare, helping participants turn frontline insights into meaningful improvements for patients, staff and services.
Delivered by Anglia Ruskin University, the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme is the largest entrepreneurial workforce development programme of its kind. It enables NHS staff to explore, develop and scale innovative ideas while continuing their NHS careers.
The programme is free to join and open to all NHS staff across the UK. Participants gain access to CPD-accredited learning, expert mentoring, networking opportunities and a supportive community of innovators. Through a series of educational events known as Pit Stops, participants develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress their ideas, whether they are at the earliest stage of identifying a problem or already developing a solution.
The CEP is more than a learning programme. It is a community of healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and industry experts who are passionate about improving healthcare. Participants benefit from mentoring, commercial education, networking opportunities and practical tools that support innovation and personal development.
Healthcare Scientists are often best placed to identify opportunities for improvement through their day-to-day experiences of research, diagnostics, technology development and patient care. Whether applicants have spotted a challenge, developed an early-stage idea or are already working on an innovation, the Clinical Entrepreneur Programme provides the support, learning and connections to help them take the next step.
